The single is the group's first new material in nine years and precedes their upcoming greatest hits album, due out on June 15.
Released as a digital download, 'Back To The 80s' knocked Eurovision winner Alexander Rybak's 'Fairytale' from the top spot. The song has also entered the Norwegian singles chart at number eight.
The group, who are currently touring Scandinavia, rose to fame with their worldwide number one 'Barbie Girl' in 1997. They enjoyed a further five top ten singles in the UK.
