According to Billboard, the concert's founders have said that they are excited for the jam band to perform after they established a tradition playing in the city on Halloween from 1997 to 2002 and again in 2008.
"It only took us 11 years to get it done... it's special for us to be working with them," the festival said.
Bandmember John Bell added that they were proud "to be included in the tradition".
"The Voodoo Experience has been kicking ass for ten years and adding to the spell New Orleans has on the rest of the country and beyond. Hope it's scary," he said.
The 11th annual event takes place from October 30 to November 1.
