The 51-year-old singer confirmed that he expects to concentrate on the project for another four weeks before reaching the finished product.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Weller revealed: "I've another month or so to go on it. It's full of very short spiky songs, two and a half minutes, concise."
The star's ninth solo disc 22 Dreams was named best album at the Mojo Honours List ceremony on Thursday night.
Weller has previously stated that its follow-up will be released early next year, adding: "I wish it was f***ing coming out next week, man, 'cos it's right on the button."
