The track, which features Sophie Ellis-Bextor on vocals, has been made available as a download over a week before its official release on June 22.
"Whoops technical blip means 'HEARTBREAK' OUT NOW! Available for download on itunes. Its all very advanced!" Ellis-Bextor told followers on Twitter.
The song has already risen to number 12 on the iTunes download chart, despite Radio 1 failing to playlist it yet.
Speaking to DS recently, Freemasons member James Wiltshire admitted that he hoped the song would be the production duo's biggest hit so far.
"I'd love it to be our best single to date but you just can't tell with these things. It's a very uplifting track and people seem to be able to relate to the lyrics. Fingers crossed all the way," he said.
