The corroded ten-gauge steel sculpture with a hand-written message in white paint will be auctioned by Christie's on July 1 and is expected to fetch between £6,000 and £8,000.
Titled Statement, the writing on the piece reads: "I have no desire whatsoever to desecrate the grave of seminal Manchester pop group The Stone Roses, 18.3.09."
The sculpture was created by Squire in response to reports that the band were poised to reform for a series of gigs to mark the 20th anniversary of their self-titled debut album.
The Stone Roses is re-released in standard remastered, legacy and collectors editions on August 10.
