The 'Back Of The Van' singer will play the concert with Bombay Bicycle Club on August 26 in aid of the skindividual initiative from Cancer Research UK.
Ladyhawke said: "Being individual and doing your own thing is one of the most important parts of being young.
"And let's face it, your skin is a pretty major part of what makes us who we are, so it's something we should take extra care in protecting, particularly since skin cancer's a growing problem in the UK."
Ten competition entrants with the largest Facebook, MySpace, Bebo or Twitter social networks on July 17 will be invited to record a 30-second film about why they should get the gig.
The films will then be judged on their creativity by a panel that includes Skins co-creator Jamie Brittain.
