Cyrus 'surprises diners with new song'

Miley Cyrus has surprised diners in Georgia by treating them to an impromptu performance of a new song.

The Hannah Montana star took to the stage with local musician Jason Courtney on Monday night, after enjoying dinner at Stingrays restaurant on Tybee Island.

Speaking to Perez Hilton, onlooker Libby Green said: "She played the guitar beautifully and sang even better.

"The song she wrote was in her pocket, she used it to remember the lyrics. [I'm] pretty sure it was a 'getting over a break-up' song."

Cyrus is currently in the state filming her new movie The Last Song. Yesterday, photographs from the set surfaced showing the 16-year-old filming a kissing scene with co-star Liam Hemsworth.

She is reported to have split from model boyfriend Justin Gaston last week.
