Carey 'fires back at Eminem in new single'

Mariah Carey has reportedly fired back at Eminem's recent song about her, penning a retaliatory track about the rapper.

New single 'Obsessed', from her upcoming LP Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel, targets an unnamed individual's infatuation with her and his previous drug use.

The lyrics include: "Why are you so obsessed with me/ Boy I wanna know/ Lying that you're sexing me/ When everybody knows/ It's clear that you're upset with me."

Eminem was criticised by Carey's husband Nick Cannon earlier this year after his album song 'Bagpipes From Baghdad' suggested that he wanted to rekindle a previous relationship with the singer.

The rapper, who recently spoke out about his past drug use, later insisted that the song had been intended to "wish them the best" with their married life.

Carey has yet to address the speculation, but songwriter The Dream has reportedly confirmed that the track was written about a specific person.
