The 'Doctor Doctor' star admitted that he admired Albarn's diverse music projects, which include Gorillaz and The Good, The Bad and The Queen, but claimed that he wasn't a fan of Blur in their heyday.
"I wouldn't mind doing something with Damon, he's a great artist," Contactmusic quote him as saying.
"At the time, I hated Blur and Oasis and I'd be honest and I'd tell Damon I wasn't a fan."
According to Blur's manager Chris Morrison, Albarn has a significant amount of new material to be recorded.
"He's got a plethora of tracks at the moment. Whether they all make the light of day or get refined and come down to a normal amount you get on a record of 10 to 15 tracks, I can't tell at this point in time," he said.
Just Jack releases new album All Night Cinema on June 29.
