Paloma Faith 'nearly missed' pop career

The 'Stone Cold Sober' singer, who hails from Hackney in London, claimed that she grew anxious after seeing her musician friends become successful before her.
"I used to run a music night about five years ago," she told the Daily Star.
"Everybody who performed started getting signed except for me - Adele, Kate Nash."
According to midweek sales figures, Faith's debut single is expected to enter the Top 20 on Sunday.
