The 'Foundations' singer has taken a break from recording her second album to work on a number of songs with the four-piece.
"We did some tracks a while ago together and we might finally release them this summer," she told The Daily Star.
"But it won't be under my name or Metronomy, it's going to be an underground side-project."
The star, who picked up a Brit Award for Best Female in 2008, added that the new project was yet to be given an alias.
