The R&B star, who is currently recording his third studio LP, has asked Hilson to collaborate with him in penning a track for the tentatively entitled Graffiti.
Speaking to E! Online, Hilson said: "He contacted me like four or five days ago. Us working together will probably be the first project I've worked on as a songwriter in a while."
The pair previously duetted on Brown's hit 'Superhuman', and Hilson wrote the track 'Young Love' for the 20-year-old's debut album.
She went on to say that Brown's fans would probably stick with him, despite his current legal situation with ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
"It is unfortunate what they are going through, but I always feel like if you've ever had a fan base, you're really only one song away from appeasing that fan base," she explained.
"Whether that song is autobiographical or whether you want to talk about that or not, you're just one hit song away. And that's what I think of the industry in a nutshell."
Graffiti is scheduled for release later this year.
