Leona Lewis has reportedly found inspiration for her second album by listening to Coldplay.

The singer, who has been recording the follow-up to Spirit in Los Angeles, is said to have been drawn to a soft-rock sound after the success of 'Run' last year.

"Leona was really happy with the success of her cover of Snow Patrol's 'Run', so she thought it logical to try her hand at a more rock-based sound," a source told The Sun.

"She's a huge Coldplay fan and their influence is strong on a number of demos."

Last year, the 'Bleeding Love' singer admitted that she was eager to record a duet with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in the future.

Speaking to DS recently, Lewis confirmed that her album was "more than halfway through" and that she had been working with Justin Timberlake on a number of tracks.

"He's so awesomely talented. He's been producing and he's got vocals on some my tracks too," she said.
