B.B. King: 'I play what I feel'

WENN

B.B. King has said that he plays the music that he feels regardless of his Mississippi upbringing.

The 83-year-old blues legend told Metro that he takes his inspiration from his audiences during live shows.

King said: "A bandleader once told me that if he saw one person tapping their feet or nodding their head, that's the person he would play to all night. Anyone that gives me a pleasant look, that's good enough for me.

"I was born in the Delta, yes, but I play the same way I would if I was in your city. In other words, I play what I feel."

B.B. King kicks off a full UK arena tour with John Mayall in Manchester on June 24.
