The Sticks 'N' Stones star told thelondonpaper that he had recorded as-yet unreleased material with Welch at his studio.
Jamie T said: "She's a great talent, man. She was in my studio and I said, 'Can you do a backing vocal for me?' She said, 'Yeah'.
"It's not on the album actually - thanks for reminding me."
He added that his upcoming LP Kings And Queens is not a radical departure from his Mercury-nominated debut Panic Prevention.
"If I do a bunch of songs similar to the first album shoot me, you know what I mean? I'm not trying to like, run away and pretend that I play balalaikas," he said.
