The late star's practice session at LA's Staples Centre was recorded last Wednesday in multi-camera, high definition video and multi-track audio, The Wrap reports.
One official at the concert promoter was reported to have said: "We have a live album in the can."
The recording was made as part of AEG's deal with Jackson to eventually release a live album and DVD culled from performances on his planned 50-date London residency.
The footage is said to be several hours long and include video of musicians, dancers and aerial performers.
AEG is reported to be facing a £300 million insurance liability if it self-insured Jackson's planned shows in the capital.
