The singer, who is featured on the Freemasons's new single 'Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer)', admitted that her decision to refuse teaming up with the group was not malicious.
"There were good intentions, but the diaries weren't compatible," she told the Daily Star.
The star, who paired up with Calvin Harris, Metronomy and Liam from the Sneaker Pimps for her fourth solo album, claimed that she is eager to collaborate with new artists.
"I'm a bit of a tart really; I'll work with anybody just to see what will happen."
Ellis-Bextor is expected to release her new record later this year.
