The 18-year-old singer, who shot to number one with debut single 'Mama Do' last month, admitted that she spends too much time chatting to her friends.
"Being on the phone all the time is the worst thing for my voice and I get told not to do it. But because I'm really busy I try to stay in contact with my friends that way," she told the Daily Star.
"One time I had to rest my voice for a week and that was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life because I love talking.
"I have to drink lots of herbal tea and try to warm up as much as I can. Plus if I have a big show coming up then I won't go out beforehand."
The singer, who recently supported The Saturdays on their 'Work' tour, releases new single 'Boys And Girls' in September.
