Miley Cyrus will be collaborating with Rob Thomas on a new song, it has been confirmed.
The Hannah Montana actress and Matchbox Twenty frontman will record a song for the soundtrack to the teen star's movie The Last Song.
Cyrus has recently praised Thomas as a musical "genius" on her Twitter page.
Thomas told the New York Daily News: "My buddy Adam Shankman, who just directed Miley's movie, called me on the phone the other day and was like, 'You have to write a song for this movie'. It was so funny."
