Cindy Herron-Bragg, Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones performed a selection of songs by female artists who inspired them such as Gladys Knight and Aretha Franklin. However, due to time restraints they were unable to play their popular hits 'Whatta Man' and 'Hold On'.
Speaking afterwards, Herron-Bragg told The AP: "It was amazing. I'm just glad we were able to connect with [the audience]." Robinson added: "We're just excited to be together again. It's like we never missed a beat. It feels normal again."
En Vogue, who were created by Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy in 1990, sold more than 20 million albums worldwide and scored hits with 'Free Your Mind', 'My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)' and 'Don't Let Go'.
They have performed together on two occasions since 2007 and are planning a full comeback later this year. The group also confessed that they would consider using reality TV to gain "exposure" for their comeback.
"It's just another venue to get our music out there," said Robinson. "The industry has changed. It's not just about getting a record deal anymore. It's about exposure."
