The Sheffield band's comeback track was released to fans from midnight on iTunes. It will be given a full release on August 17.
The song was premiered on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show yesterday evening, while the DJ enjoyed the single so much that he played it twice back-to-back.
Speaking about the release, frontman Alex Turner said: "This was deemed the best signifier of the record. It was a favourite during recording."
The track, which was produced by Queen Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme, features the opening lines: "Outside the cafe by the cracker factory, you were practising a magic trick. And my thoughts got rude, as you talked and chewed, on the last of your pick and mix."
The four-piece's third studio album Humbug will be released on August 24. They will also headline Reading and Leeds festival on August Bank Holiday weekend.
When asked about the new LP, Turner added: "We've enjoyed making it more than the other two put together. It does really feel like we're getting somewhere."
