Ryan Ross and Jon Walker confirmed that they were quitting the rock outfit earlier this week, leaving lead singer Brendan Urie and drummer Spencer Smith as a duo.
A statement posted on their official website said: "Sometimes individual tastes take friends in different directions and you can't ignore it. They are some of the most talented guys we know and we're sure that whatever they do next will be great.
"That said, Panic At The Disco is alive and very, very well. We are working on new songs that we are excited for you to hear."
The blog ended with the cryptic statement: "Pay attention, we have a surprise in store for you."
Urie and Smith are currently preparing to embark on a tour with Blink-182 and No Doubt.
