Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' has been voted the hottest song of all time by a top Australian radio show.

Voters of Triple J's 'hottest 100 of all time' voted the track as the best, followed by songs from artists such as Queen and Led Zeppelin.

Talking about the famous chorus of the Kurt Cobain hit, the station's spokesperson said: "After all these years, that scream hasn't diminished one bit."

Other songs in the top ten were 'Hallelujah' by Jeff Buckley, 'Paranoid Android' by Radiohead and 'Under The Bridge' by Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Nirvana's other hits 'Come As You Are' and 'Lithium' also made the top 100 list.
