Lily Allen 'gutted' by Mercury snub

The singer's second LP It's Not You It's Me, which she wrote with Greg Kurstin, shot to number one earlier this year but failed to make it on to the prestigious prize shortlist.
"I'm like gazza, the judges hate me, but the people, dem love me..." she wrote on her Twitter.
Music photographer Ben Yacobi, one of Allen's followers, commented: "Spotted @lilyroseallen in the pub last night. The look in her eyes said she knew she'd get snubbed in favour of Glasvegas. Bewilderment."
The star has since backed electro-synth duo La Roux to win the award.
