Kasabian discuss Mercury prize money plans
Kasabian have revealed how they would spend their £20,000 Mercury music prize winning money.

The Leicester band, whose third album West Rider Pauper Lunatic Asylum made it on to the shortlist, admitted that they would fork out on luxury items if they win.

"I'd like to spend it on a yacht and get out of my mind. Hire a yacht out with a group of people and have it," singer Tom Meighan told the Daily Star.

Meanwhile, Serge Pizzorno claimed that he would spend the money improving the prospects of his favourite football club.

"I could buy three players for Leicester City with that sort of money," he joked.

Kasabian are currently joint favourites with Florence and the Machine to pick up the gong, which is announced on September 8.
