Oasis 'take legal advice' over reports

Oasis have taken legal advice from firm Carter Ruck after a number of sources falsely claimed that singer Liam Gallagher "stormed out" of the band's recent iTunes gig in Camden, it has emerged.

Liam reportedly said that he was "not happy" during the performance, while his brother Noel joked that the frontman was "probably on his man period" at the concert.

In a statement on the band's official website, a spokeperson said: "The story that Liam left the gig is totally untrue. Liam left the stage only for a few minutes during songs sung by his brother Noel as is always the case.

"The whole show was captured on film by ITV so fans will soon see the truth of this. It is very difficult to understand why supposedly respectable publications would publish such malicious and damaging claims."

Noel recently described their set at Spain's Benicassim festival as a "f**king waste of time", while his band also refunded fans with bespoke 'Bank Of Burnage' cheques after sound problems marred an outdoor Manchester show in June.
