The Swedish singer compiled singles from her previous records with new material for her first UK album release.
"I was in discussions with my record company and I had hundreds of songs that I wanted to put on it, but it's difficult to bring all the ones you want. But I think we made a good choice with this album," she told DS.
"One of my favourite songs on it is 'Sacrifice', which is the the first song I've written myself on this album, so it will be interesting to see how my fans react to that one."
The singer admitted that she was pleased with the response to 'Until I Die', despite its release being cancelled.
"Of course, you always want the songs to be really popular. But for me, the most important thing is that my fans really understand my message and like the song," she said.
"I've been reading on the internet that a lot of people have really taken to the message of this song, which is to really take care of your life. So this is a very special song for my people!
"Now it's time to release this and right now I'm focusing very much on the future and doing my new songs for a new album."
September releases Cry For You - The Album digitally on Monday.
