The 21-year-old singer, who represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in May, admitted that she was flustered after meeting the R&B star.
"I was so shocked, I didn't know whether to look at him, the ceiling or the floor," she told the Daily Star.
"I don't usually get starstruck but Usher has always been an inspiration to me."
Last month, Usher filed for divorce from his wife Tameka Foster after nearly two years of marriage. The pair have two children: Usher Raymond V, 19 months, and 7-month-old Naviyd.
Ewen releases 'My Man' on September 14. Her debut album Punching Out follows later in the year.
