Kasabian fear for the future of albums
Kasabian star Serge Pizzorno has expressed fears that albums could die out within three years' time.

The guitarist claimed that the rising popularity of downloads could soon lead to a dramatic change in the music industry, with fans no longer wanting to own a full collection of songs from an individual artist.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Pizzorno explained: "Personally, I always write an album, make an album and put it out. That's how we bought music, and that's how I've always sought music. That will never change and that is the best way to have an album.

"I don't want the album to die in three to four years. I would hate that to be lost because you are missing out on the beauty of a record being part of your life."

The band's frontman Tom Meighan added: "Kids now don't even think of it as much as they just click on music and they have it. The romance is pretty much dead."

Kasabian recently complained about their struggle to secure radio play in the US, branding Americans "deluded".
