First names revealed for Abba tribute

Elaine Page, Russell Watson and Lulu are among the first names announced on the bill of the Abba tribute concert taking place in London on September 13.

They will be joined by Helen Sjoholm, the cast of Mamma Mia!, Jason Donovan, and original Abba members Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, while the celebration will also take in Andersonn's post-Abba work.

The songwriter told Radio 2 that he had also asked Annie Lennox to appear at the show to sing his former group's hit 'The Day Before You Came'.

"I don't know if she wants to do it, but nothing would make me happier," he added.

Thank You For The Music: A Celebration Of The Music Of Abba, hosted by BBC Radio, will take place in Hyde Park. Tickets are available now for £25 plus a booking fee.

There has been no mention of whether the other two members of the group - Anni-Frid 'Frida' Lyngstad and Agnetha Faltskog - will attend the event.
