Byrne turns Roundhouse into instrument

The former Talking Heads frontman devised the project which involves the attaching of mechanical devices to the beams, pillars and pipes of the building.
These implements are then channelled to a keyboard that can be played by visitors.
Titled Playing The Building, the interactive sound installation has previously been staged at the Battery Maritime Building in New York and the Färgfabriken building in Stockholm.
The event runs at the Grade II listed Roundhouse from August 8 to 31.
