The former American Idol star admitted that the pair's busy schedules meant that they were unable to record together on her new LP Battlefield.
"I love Leona. We made a pact to duet together but my record was already finished," she told the Daily Star.
She added: "I'm hoping I can get on her next album."
The star has previously expressed her desire to work with Lewis, claiming that the pair could be the new "Mariah and Whitney".
