The '99 Problems' rapper had been confirmed as the trio's last minute replacement, after Adam 'MCA' Yauch announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer.
According to Angry Ape, Jay-Z opened his set by launching into 'No Sleep 'Till Brooklyn' from the group's classic 1986 debut album Licensed To Ill.
The band Yeah Yeah Yeahs also reportedly dedicated their song 'Maps' to Yauch.
