Nick Oliveri to release solo album

Oliveri, who played bass for a number of acts including Kyuss and Mondo Generator before joining the Era Vulgaris rockers, has been working on Death Acoustic for the past year and plans to release the record on October 27.
The rock star's record label said in a statement that he "has found time to play intimate, solo acoustic shows. Just him and his guitar, blending songs he has written for the bands he has played in, specifically written songs for the solo shows, and well-chosen covers.
"Death Acoustic is the result of these efforts; Oliveri spent the last 12 months in his home studio recording tracks for his solo album. In October, it is unleashed with touring to back it up across the world over the last few months of this year and into next year."
Oliveri has also recorded a guest appearance for former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash's forthcoming solo LP Slash & Friends.
