Tenacious D replace Beastie Boys at festival

The duo will step in as the event's headlining act in San Francisco on August 30 due to Adam 'MCA' Yauch's recent announcement that he has been diagnosed with cancer, Hit Fix reports.
Rapper Jay-Z stood in for the band at the All Points West festival in July, while the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are scheduled to stand in for their headlining slot at Lollapalooza on Saturday.
Tenacious D's third album Death Star is reportedly still in the works.
