Spiteri to record new album in LA

The singer-songwriter, who first found fame with Texas in the '80s, confirmed that her second LP will be released in early 2010.
Spiteri told the Daily Record: "I'm off to Los Angeles to make the new record for the beginning of next year hopefully. Why LA? I've got so many mates out there at the moment."
The star added that she is inspired by the success of her fellow Scot Gerard Butler, who stars in the new comedy movie The Ugly Truth.
She commented: "It's not easy but when Scots make it, they make it big."
Spiteri's debut solo disc Melody was a top three hit in 2008.
