Abdul, who co-wrote Kylie Minogue's number one single 'Spinning Around', has allegedly penned a track with a "disco" feel to it for the Girls Aloud star.
According to New magazine, Coyle's record will be different from the upcoming album by bandmate Cheryl Cole.
"Nadine is known as the best singer in Girls Aloud, but Cheryl needn't worry, as the last thing record bosses want is the pair going head-to-head," a source said.
Recent reports have claimed that three record labels are bidding to snap up the Irish singer.
"It looks like Universal - a subdivision of the Girls Aloud label Fascination - will produce Nadine's solo shot. But whoever wins her will have to pay a lot because everyone's desperate to sign her. She will get an amazing deal as a result of shopping around," a source told the Daily Record.
