The troubled singer was denied a US visa earlier this year after being charged with assault. However, she has since been cleared in court and is now free to enter the country again.
A source told the Daily Star: "Amy loves the idea of jetting off to America. She'd be over the moon to spend time in the States, hanging out and doing some gigs.
"She knows she has a huge fanbase there and would love to boost her profile further and give something back to fans."
A spokesperson for the star confirmed: "There is nothing to stop her getting a visa to travel to America. Back To Black was the second biggest-selling album in the world last year and she never had the chance to tour there, so it's on the cards."
Winehouse recently returned to the UK following an extended break in St Lucia. She is currently working on her third album.
