Two months at No.1 for Jackson albums

His two-disc compilation The Essential notches up a seventh week at number one, having previously replaced another Jackson collection, Number Ones, in the top spot.
The Essential is one of six Jackson albums in this week's top 40 - the same tally as seven days ago.
Behind Jackson, Beyoncé's I Am... Sasha Fierce climbs to a new peak of two, while Black Eyed Peas' The E.N.D. holds steady at three.
A reissue of The Stone Roses' debut album is the highest new entry of the week, landing at five. The Stone Roses, originally released in 1989, previously peaked at nine.
