The 'Red' singer revealed that he was trying to "blackmail" Winehouse so that he could keep the players for his live shows.
"I've had to fight Amy to steal my band off her," he told The Sun.
"I've got Mark Ronson's horn section, and I've been battling to get Dale and Troy from Amy for months."
He added: "At the moment she has them on standby, and I've been trying to steal them away.
"But every time I get them to join my band, Amy calls them and steals them back off me. I've got to somehow blackmail her so I can pinch them."
According to recent reports, Winehouse has decided to complete work on her third studio album in Miami after finally being granted a US visa.
