The singer, who now resides in Switzerland with 8-year-old son Eja D'Angelo, posted a message on her website promising a surprise "small gift" later this month.
"Hi everyone, Shania here. First to start off, thank you for all the beautiful birthday wishes for Eja's birthday," she wrote.
"Secondly, if you haven't already seen on my website, for August 28 on my birthday, I will be giving you a small gift of thanks for all of your support over the last year. You've been really wonderful. Thank you so much."
Twain split from Lange in May 2008 when his affair with her former assistant and friend Marie-Anne Thiebaud was exposed in the press.
The 43-year-old has not released any new material since 2002 album Up!.
