The Don't Forget star revealed that she gets very emotional saying goodbye to her mum, dad and two sisters, according to Angry Ape.
"I'm so close to my family," she told Sugar magazine. "I get really emotional every time I have to leave them to go on tour, but luckily mum and dad take it in turns to go with me."
Lovato added: "I miss my sisters so much. I can still see my little sister Madison on Desperate Housewives, though! She plays Gaby's daughter Juanita."
