Oasis pull out of V Festival

Oasis will no longer be carrying out their headline performance at the V Festival as Liam Gallagher has caught viral laryngitis.

Snow Patrol will headline instead, reports the BBC.

A spokesman said: "After a year of being on the road this is the first performance to be lost to a band member's illness, so naturally we are all gutted."

The Oasis frontman’s doctor advised him not to perform tonight. He is expected to recover for a gig in Paris on Friday.
