The Rascals have split up, according to reports.
Frontman of the Hoylake indie rockers Miles Kane confirmed today that he has left the band in order to pursue a solo career.
The singer, who teamed up with Arctic Monkeys' Alex Turner to form The Last Shadow Puppets in 2007, said that he will soon begin work on his own material, while the other members would be continuing with the band.
"We can confirm that The Rascals have parted ways," a spokesperson told NME.
"Miles Kane is currently writing new material and has been in the studio recording some tracks by himself. Greg Mighall and Joe Edwards are working on a film project with Awaydays star Liam Boyle."
