The band were forced to pull out of the Chelmsford leg of the festival on Sunday when Liam contracted viral laryngitis, leading to speculation that they may never play in Britain again.
On his Twitter page, Liam wrote: "Reports in smartarses column about Oasis last British gig ever. The kids talking out his arse, I mean rkids, bware of darkness. LG (sic)."
The singer had previously apologised for the band's no-show on the second day of the festival, where they were replaced as headliners by Snow Patrol.
Tom Clarke of The Enemy has defended Oasis and also rejected claims that the group's cancellation was a result of a falling out between Liam and his guitarist brother Noel.
