The follow-up to the band's 2007 debut A Tale of Two Cities was originally due to be available from this summer.
A message to the group's mailing list read: "The release date of Mr Hudson's hotly-anticipated new album Straight No Chaser has been pushed back to October 19. But we promise it'll be more than worth the wait!"
The LP from the band, which was formerly known as Mr Hudson & The Library, will be preceded by new single 'White Lies'.
Kanye West, who co-produced the album and appeared on number two hit 'Supernova', said that frontman Ben Hudson had the potential to "annihilate" him with his future records.
The release of Straight No Chaser is supported with the following live dates:
- November 11 - London, Shepherds Bush
- November 12 - Manchester - Academy
- November 14 - Glasgow, King Tuts
