Since splitting in 1982, all four members of the Swedish group have avoided talk of a reunion, although they met up at the premiere of Abba-themed musical film Mamma Mia! last year.
Chief songwriters Benny Andersson and Ulvaeus also recently co-wrote a song for Swedish star Helen Sjöholm's new album - the first music the pair have created together in 15 years.
However, Ulvaeus has dismissed the 'Waterloo' chart-toppers ever reuniting, according to Contactmusic.
He said: "The reason is it would disappoint so many fans. People think they would love it but they remember us how we were - young, energetic people in colourful costumes. If we were to come out on stage now we'd look like a cover band, only much older. That would destroy so many memories for people."
