Yesterday, Jackson's brother Jermaine announced that Brown would be performing at the gig in Vienna later this month.
He had suggested that the R&B star would be headlining, according to WENN.
"Michael was his idol and [Brown] dedicated his first number one hit in the US to Michael," Jackson said yesterday. "Chris is a very, very talented man."
However, Brown's spokesperson insisted that he is not yet scheduled to appear.
"Chris is not confirmed to perform or participate in any capacity for this show," the representative explained.
Natalie Cole, Sister Sledge and Akon are among the acts who will cover Michael Jackson's hits at the concert.
