Brown 'waits for Jackson gig ruling'

Chris Brown's involvement in the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Vienna, Austria will depend on the ruling of a US judge, it has been claimed.

The controversial R&B star was announced as part of the gig's lineup yesterday, but his spokesperson later said that the 20-year-old had not been confirmed for the project.

Brown was last month sentenced to five years' probation, six months of community labour and one year of domestic violence counselling for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Reports have suggested that his legal commitments could clash with the Jackson event.

Organiser Georg Kindel has now told PA that a judge in America will decide whether the singer can travel to perform in Austria on September 26.

Earlier today, Jermaine Jackson confirmed that Brown is keen to appear and is "just working something out with his situation in Los Angeles".
