According to NME, the band plan to put out a cover of Suicide's 'Sweetheart' as a download and on limited edition vinyl on October 1. The track is one of a number of recent releases to celebrate Suicide frontman Alan Vega's 70th birthday.
Klaxons' version of the song was recorded earlier this year and has been produced by bandmember Jamie Reynolds.
A host of artists including The Horrors, Bruce Springsteen, Primal Scream and Peaches have all contributed to the project previously. Grinderman, Mogwai, Iggy Pop, Spiritualized, Julian Cope, Vincent Gallo and Liars are also scheduled to release their own covers.
In a statement, Vega said: "I'm knocked out by these new versions, they just keep on coming and coming and they're like whole new worlds to me... so completely different... and some of these new upcoming bands, man, they've really got into it.
"It's really great. It's like a soap opera, you know, what's gonna happen in the next episode?"
